About the Exam

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is a national-level medical entrance examination conducted by thNational Testing Agency (NTA). It is the single entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and otheundergraduate medical courses across India. NEET ensures a uniform and transparent admission process for medicacolleges in India.

The exam is conducted once every year in offline (pen and paper) mode and is based on the NCERT syllabus of Classes 1and 12.

2. Eligibility

  • Minimum age: 17 years (as on 31st December of admission year)
  • Maximum age: As per latest NTA norms
  • Qualification: Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology
  • Minimum Marks:
  • General: 50% in PCB
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB
  • PwD 45% in PCB

  • Mode: Offline (Pen & Paper Based)
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany + Zoology)
